The Ooks Life Team

NAITSA’s Ooks Life Team plays a vital role in making campus life the best experience possible! If you aren’t familiar with the Ooks Life Team, you may be familiar with our annual Pancake Breakfast, Nest Fest, or our always-popular “How To” series. These students are hired annually from various programs and backgrounds to help plan, promote, and execute events, coordinate volunteer opportunities, and support campus clubs.

Our goal is to help encourage students to have fun and foster friendships while at school, and the Ooks Life Team helps make this possible! Whether you want to get involved with your community, learn something new, or socialize with your fellow students – we have the perfect opportunity to ensure you make the most of your time at NAIT!

Our Mission

The Ooks Life Team is a group of NAIT students who strive to create a vibrant and memorable campus life experience. They work under NAITSA’s Campus Life Department to actively enrich the student community and provide involvement opportunities for students.

Our Vision

The Ooks Life Team helps curate the iconic college experience for NAIT students. The team includes a team of dynamic, enthusiastic, and diverse individuals that provide their opinions on future campus programs and help bring those programs to life. We have a diverse student body, and we want to ensure our campus life reflects that.

Focuses

There are four key areas you’ll focus on during your one-year term with the Ooks Life Team – regardless of your specific position. These include:

Be a visionary: Help NAITSA set its direction for the year to come
Provide feedback: Tell us what you think about everything
Collect data: Find out what students are interested in, what they do for fun, what they expect from NAITSA, and how we can communicate with them…and then bring it back to the team
Support your team: Teamwork makes the dream work

Being a part of the Ooks Life Team is going to be a lot of fun. You will form friendships that will be long-lasting, laugh a lot, apply skills you have learned in the classroom, and enhance campus life at NAIT – one student at a time.
