FAQ
WHEN CAN I APPLY FOR THE OOKS LIFE TEAM?
When do I start?
What will my schedule typically look like?
Setting your work schedule is primarily up to the Ooks Life Team member. Approximately 60% of the hours you are allotted you’ll work independently, and the other 40% of your hours will involve assisting the team with promotions, event execution, and other projects. Shifts will be posted monthly and you’ll have the option to choose those that work best with your schedule – while keeping in mind that you need to stay within a particular number of hours each month.
Will I have to work weekends?
We host a handful of weekend events each semester, but just as with the other shifts, you can pick those up depending on your availability.
What can I expect during a typical weekend?
During a typical week as an Ooks Life Team member, your week could involve a variety of things, including some of the following:
- Planning out projects and initiatives
- Working a shift in the Nest Eatery or hosting a hallway promotion
- Helping to create content for social media (can someone say TikTok dance?!)
- Attending meetings via video chat or at the NAITSA office
- Preparing supplies for your project and events
- Meeting with your team members Brainstorming creative ways to engage students
