Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a Campus Activities Board member at NAITSA? All of our members will be able to tell you that their experience has been nothing short of amazing!

The Campus Activities Board comprises a group of students who work hand in hand to create a strong campus culture and bring you the best campus experience yet! Being a Campus Activities Board member requires hard work and dedication; however, the job remains flexible, and understanding of the busy lives typical students lead.

An average week in a Campus Activities Board member’s life is never dull! In between classes, staff pick up shifts according to their schedule and work to bring you campus events, pop-ups, opportunities, and more! They are constantly making connections and working shifts that feel more like a study break than a job!

A strong sense of teamwork is throughout the team, and members always have each other’s back. A lot can happen in a week, and Campus Activities Board members may face some challenging obstacles. In these situations, a quick text or email can be sent out to a teammate, and support can be provided at the drop of a hat!

After a long day, or when a staff member is looking for a place to retreat, our shared office is perfect for members to relax. Staff can come here throughout their week to chill, hang out with one another, or even get some homework done! There are plenty of snacks and a giant smart board for work (and sometimes movies!).

Throughout summer, before every school year starts, the team goes on a retreat where they work hard to brainstorm fresh ideas for the upcoming school year. Our retreat makes each year super exciting and unique, as we always have fresh events planned from the student’s perspective.

By the end of every week, CAB members touch base with their supervisors and subcommittee to go over all the NAITSA activities that took place during the week! After that, it’s time to relax for the weekend and prepare for another jam-packed week!
